After losing 40 pounds, I came off my high blood pressure meds and my heartburn meds. All I take today is my daily vitamins. :)

Re: 075 Balanced Living Weekly – Where Do I Begin?

Jonni, sure, feel free to put a link to our page. Though, we actually have two of them. I would recommend using http://BalancedLivingWeekly.co... as we plan to eventually abandon the Biggest Loser Page.

Re: 074 Balanced Living Weekly – Fat Sick And Nearly Dead Review

I watched the film Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead on Netflix. Thanks for letting your audience know about it. Once again, healthy habits make medications unnecessary. That's the message I get from Biggest Loser also, and it's one that I apply to my own life as well. I would love to do a juice fast, if I do, it would be for a short amount of time when I have a vacation to enjoy it. It would be worth investing in a decent juicer and seeking reasonably priced produce to make it happen. Juice fasting is also featured in Dr. Ronni's Marthas' Vineyard Diet also known as 21 pounds in 21 days. Another similar dramatic healing film is Gabriel Cousens' Simply Raw involving several people with diabetes vastly improve their health.

Re: 075 Balanced Living Weekly – Where Do I Begin?

Hello Gentlemen.
Whyare there no comments on your posts?
I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoy listening to this podcast. I did start listening because of the "Biggest Loser" title. But I stayed because of your Christian views and the health factor together. That is my life in a nutshell. Also, your chemistry is inviting.
Thank you for putting this together for all of us who listen.
I have a little blog about being healthy, one follower so far (ha ha) but I wanted to ask your permission to put the link to your podcast on my page.
the page is www.jonnisfitcamp.blogspot.com
if you would like to check the content.
thank you again.
Jonni

Re: 071 Balanced Living Weekly – Summer Vacation Thoughts

I'd see Mark's videos. Funny stuff. The song reminds me a little of Greatest American Hero theme song at the beginning. :)

Re: 071 Balanced Living Weekly – Summer Vacation Thoughts

In this episode, Cliff mentioned that he discovered Ikea after a new store opened near him. Maybe Cliff would be interested in the following Ikea-related humor:

Mark Lives In Ikea, starring Mark Malkoff, a friend of the GSPN community

http://www.marklivesinikea.com...

The song "Ikea" by Jonathan Coulton, which contains only one expletive and is the funniest (and only?) song I have ever heard about Ikea.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Enjoy! I am long overdue for a trip to Ikea myself...

Re: 052 Balanced Living Weekly – Working As Though It Depends On You?

Thank you so much Rachel! Roderick. They all seemed like they really just care about losing weight and not winning cash. But it's early haha...Oh, and the male trainer is definitely Brett Hoebel (I know his capoeira moves even just in silhouette) and the female trainer is most likely a female boxing champ Cara Castronuova. She's relatively unknown but Brett definitely has a huge following. Great job on this episode, guys!

Re: 050 Balanced Living Weekly – The Opportunities of Change

Thanks for the feedback. I've not heard of either of these two new trainers. However, I hadn't heard of Bob & Jillian until the Biggest Loser show. ;) I'm glad to know that one of the trainers is already someone who impresses you.

Many blessings to you in the new year!

Enjoyed listening to the most recent podcast, which I listened to on the way to work. As soon as I sat at my desk, I checked to see if there's a Chipolte nearby, and turns out there's one less than 3 miles away. I'll be trying them for lunch this week. I'm really looking forward to joining you and your community on a journey to better health. Your podcast helps keep me motivated and on track. :)

Re: 031 Biggest Loser – Losing It With Jillian Episode 1

beth, that is so exciting. I know that it is kind of a spin-off, but I am happy to be able to hear you during the BL off-season!

I wrote a couple of weeks ago about the struggles that I have had with weight-loss and want to share that I have had some good weeks and have been able to shift myself to a more balanced person with a lot of help from you guys... and Jillian Michaels (even though she doesn't realize it :) Her book Winning by Losing is really fantastic, especially for some one like me that struggles with emotional issues, self image, and food! I have started to listen to Master Your Metabolism from audible and look forward to implementing some of what I am listening about!

I also want to share that I have started the Couch to 5K program from Podrunner I am not as fast as you, Cliff and Fr. Roderick, but each week I can run a little more! I haven't weighed myself since I last wrote, but I am feeling better with the added activity and attention to food and how I feel when eat (good or bad)...

Thanks Again!

Re: Our First VIDEO FEEDBACK for the Biggest Loser Fan Podcast

Very cool. Unfortunately I didn't have any notes to go off of. Fr. Roderick is the one who usually takes the notes for regarding these sort of details.

Time will only tell who is able to keep the weight off or not. Most everyone made some amazing progress and I pray they will all be able to keep off the weight and continue toward a healthy weight for their bodies.

Re: Interview With Ali Vincent

Glad to hear your lost party went well too! I was rooting for you!

Re: Season 9 Finale Thoughts

Just a correction to a major point you made in your podcast: if Koli was voted in to be in the final 3, he WOULD have won. It kind of bothers me when people who do a podcast about a television show don't get the facts right. Koli had a percentage of weight loss of 53.35, and Michael only 50.19%. You said that Michael lost almost half his body weight, but in fact he lost more, and Koli's overall percentage was higher than Michael's. I still hate that Koli even won the at-home prize. His attitude was terrible and I can guarantee he won't keep the weight off because even he said his only focus was winning....and he knew he would win if he was voted in, and seemed way too ticked off to "only" win the at-home prize.

Re: Interview With Ali Vincent

Beth, Thanks so much for the comment.
